 Counting Our Blessings

      When I look at your heavens, the work of your fingers,

         the moon and the stars that you have established;

      what are human beings that you are mindful of them,

         mortals that you care for them?

Psalm 8:3–4

You are something beautiful that God is creating at every moment. God can hate nothing he has made. God’s love for his creation is stronger than a mother’s love, more faithful than a father’s love, more enduring than the seasons, and more gentle than the softest rain coaxing new life from the earth.

What are some signs of God’s love for you? Can you count your blessings in the past day—even seemingly small blessings, such as a friend calling, or the sun pouring in your window, or waking up on time? What is the most wonderful thing God has done for you?

Prayer: Lord, open my eyes so I can see all your blessings.
