Called By Name & Working With God's Grace
TUESDAY OF THE FOURTH WEEK OF LENT
Do not fear, for I have redeemed you;
I have called you by name, you are mine.
When you pass through the waters, I will be with you;
and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you;
when you walk through fire you shall not be burned,
and the flame shall not consume you.
For I am the LORD your God,
the Holy One of Israel, your Savior.
Isaiah 43:1–3
God is saying your name right now. God is interested in the circumstances of your life. God does not just want to save you, God is saving you right now. God liberated the Chosen People, but only with their help. They had to trust that this voice was truly God’s. They had to make the break from the land of Egypt. They had to walk into the desert. They had to believe that God would provide for them because he loved them.
Prayer: Lord, you are my Savior and Comforter.
